will my betta flaring give him a heart attack?

Taiyou ka (my male betta) has been flaring at his reflection often he did it for about 20 minutes today. Will he be all right? Its a 20 gallon planted with many hiding places and places for him to rest on. He only does it when it gets dark enough outside the tank to allow for the mirror effect. Any help at all will be appreciated.

Also I did buy him today so he could just be adjusting to such a large space

Ahaha, no, it will not give him a heart attack. Unless hes flaring constantly then you have nothing to worry about :)

Alot of new betta owners worry, I know how you feel :P You have a lucky betta, 20 gallons for him to explore! The best I can do for one of mine is 14 gallons :P My other two are in 10 gallon tanks.

I feed them a base of tetra color fish food to add more red to them. I feed them blood worms one a week and if I can get them mosquito larvae

They are good with bettas especially in large groups they don't strictly school but if you have an aggressive betta they will "bait" the betta to attack them
