What Makes A Quality Betta

So I was wondering what a quality betta would look like. If I go by my local pet store how would I know which ones had good tails, color, etc. Which tail types would be considered rarer or more coveted? same with colors. Some people might not want/have the ability to import from thailand or pay 30 bucks for a Betta.

If I collect enough info I'll edit the OP so it reflects what I have learned.

Thank you for all your help.

I think that colors that would be most coveted would be copper, orange or purple. As far as tail types are concerned I think most people like halfmoons the best.

What you need to do is join the IBC or research IBC Betta standards...unless you are wanting to show your Bettas...often-quality or beauty is in the eye of the beholder so-to-speak......
