What the...?!?! How do your moss balls look so pretty and green? Mine always has a brown-ish tinge/layer on it... Do I just need to trim it or what? :S

They are just balls of moss, from what I know they also seem to help act as filters. every once in a while you should clean them cause they suck up all your tanks nasty debris.

Yup, just balls of moss. They move around more or less on their own, too. Its kinda creepy. I had mini ones and didnt like them rolling all over (of what I imagine is their own accord), so I ripped it up and put it on a log XD

I love the tank! It looks great.
And shadow, he;s beautiful. I saw him the first time and was so jealous. <3

Moss balls help with the purity of the water, aaand that's about it. They are just balls of moss.

Ya mine moves sometimes, and it's like errrmmm... awkward. My loach just loves to sit and nom on it, because bacteria and debris and such grow/rest/get sucked into it.

Petsmart has them. They don't come with little unwanted critters, do they?
