Betta with horizontal lines & very lethargic

Hey guys i recently purchased a betta and its been about 2 weeks since i have had him. In the first week when i kept him in a jar he seemed normal but then when i changed him into a slightly bigger tank he started acting lethargic, his colour faded and 2 horizontal lines appeared. now he doesn't respond to me and his gills don't move but he is alive please someone help me D:

Hi CresentMoon and welcome to the forum. The horizontal lines on your betta are called stress stripes and they indicate, er, stress. Filling out the sticky above will definitely help us figure out what stressed him during his move. Offhand, though, I would say it has something to do with temperature.
