No worries, the lid's on tightly! It only comes off twice a day to make sure the sand's still damp.

They're currently room temp, and in case it gets too warm in my room, I can move them to a room that's roughly 80 degrees or so. It has been a steady 85 or so in here, though. :)

sorry herese my input i didnt read all the pages but you may have a wildlife group in your area eg: here we have the land animal groups wires, animal rescue but we also have a marine wildlife group that handle all that. maybe see if u have something?

I changed it a few days ago after getting my new halfmoon. :)
