it might help if you posted this in the diseases and emergency section, and had a title that wasn't your screen name. also, you need to be more descriptive of MoBetta's condition, your tank size, feeding habits, water change habits, ect. x:
I don't know treatment yet, sorry. If he is constipated the number one thing you should do is stop feeding him. I read that somewhere. Also if you had gotten here a bit sooner people might be able to do more. A picture would also help. Best you can do is hope a doctor sees this. I now you are scared, but give it time.
1 yr old male betta "MoBetta
2.5 gallon tank.
Fed 2 x's daily with Aqua Culture Pellet Food (no extras)
Tank is always clean, no decor.
Has divider in tank with another healthy male, they cannot touch only flare.
Symptoms...no potty, swollen abdominal wall, floating on side.
Treated with: Maracyn for 5 days ( as per instructed from fish supplier)
Fist off this is posted in the wrong section you need to put a post in the betta emergency section. 2.5 gallons is perfect..for one betta but its a bit to small to be used for two try to get them both there one tanks then if one gets sick the other dosent get it..next stop feeding him and when he gets better he will probably be prone to swim bladder so i would go down to feeding once a day with a fast once weekly..I would start him on an epsom salt treatment you will have to look around the site for dosage or someone will post it but it acts as a laxitive to them.. until you get the salt try the inside of a cooked pea NOT THE SHELL and relax swim bladder happens and it is survivable
