Unhappy I'm guessing Sparrow's head got worse...

Last week I posted a thread about my betta, Sparrow, and a cut that he had on his head. I thought that it was getting better, but I was checking in on him tonight, and it's either a new injury, or whatever the problem is is spreading!!!!

Here's some pics from last week...

And here's some from tonight...

Sorry for the pic spam!

You can see that there's a dark spot right above his eye that wasn't there last week. Could he have scraped it on something again, or is it something else that's spreading?

I'm thinking I'm going to have to take out his snail, because he didn't have anything wrong until I put the snail in last week. All of the decorations have been in there for months, so I can't see him suddenly starting to injure himself on them. I'm wondering if he's picking on the snail so much that he's hurting his head, either on the snail shell, or on the plastic parts of the silk plant, cause that's where the snail usually hangs out.

Is the spot indented in, like a hole? And is he acting normally otherwise?

Doesn't look like it, it WAS just a dark spot. But when I got home from work today, his eye is swollen on that side, so now it might be a case of popeye...

:/ All I can suggest is aquarium salt and lots and lots of clean water.

Right now I'm using epsom salts. That seemed to be the suggested cure for popeye.

I'm thinking there's swelling behind his eye, making it pop out at a weird angle. It's kinda creepy when he looks straight at you because his eyes are going in different directions.

Yeah that does sound creepy. Poor Sparrow. If it doesn't get better you can treat it with Maracyb-II, also.

His eye looks a little better this morning, but of course, that might just be wishful thinking on my part... :)

Hopefully it's not wishful thinking. He's such a handsome boy and he has pretty eyes, well, when they're not sticking out at different angles anyway.
