i tried tat before with this male n he started building the nest outside of the half cup
then the next morning it disappeared
but i could try tat again

Put cling wrap over the top of the tank. It helps keep the humidity in- which will help the bubbles from popping.
Also, your male looks in bad shape. I'd wait until his fins grow back a decent length before you try to breed him again.
