Tank Question!

I found a great price on a 18g tall hex tank with stand and all accessories.

Would this be suitable for a small sorority of females? If so, I plan on going to the LPS and picking up a handful soon, they are so scared and tiny and unhealthy looking :(

It's like this one.. I'd hope to do a NPT with it.

I dont know Sororities but I was told bettas in general prefer more horizontal space than vertical. That would be my only complaint.

And that would be the only reason I asked lol I know it's tall, I am hoping he posted the add wrong and it's a wider lower 18g. I would have about 5 or 6 girls max.

i have a 14g tank for my 7 ,

with a tall tank id stick with maybe 4-6 ... im just not sure as you will be limited on offering places to hide at night and during the day...

like ive got 2 Chests and a large stump and 2 tall and 2 short plants that are used by all mine for the night and day play... even some have claimed the tall plants as homes...

Unless, do you think you could rig suction cup hiding spots to the walls? That would allow an increase of hiding spots.

They have suction cups to replace the ones on the submersable heaters at my LPS... 4 for $3. I could bunch plants in those and suction to the sides :)

I wouldn't do more than 6 in this tank. But... change of plans. We're switching fish around and giving our small tropicals the 45g and new fish the 29g. Lots of money to do this, so no sorority yet :(
