New Fishy :D

My aunt brought me to a dollar store where we found a shelf full of bettas in horrible condition! My aunt rescued two bettas, and I rescued one. He is a red veiltail who I believe has some fin rot. He has no set up right now, but we're all waiting for it, he'll be in a home soon! :D enjoy these pictures:

What a good heart you and your aunt have, springing those three from the dollar store (never knew bettas were sold in dollar stores!). He looks like a Crimson, Elmo or Ace.

Red veils are lovely ... I have a huge soft spot for them. Give him lots of protein rich food - frozen bloodworms are the best -to get his fins growing out, and like Lui said, clean water does wonders to fins.

I would name him FireBreather. :) He's gorgeous! Congragulations. :) Just some nice clean water everyday should take care of that fin rot, it is quite minor. :) Lucky you with a gorgeous new fishy! Now you have a VT, DeT, and a HM. :)
