Color is important but finage is what you really want to look at, a pair with good matching fin type is in my opinion more important than a pair with good matching color Of course you can always mix and match but at the end of the day, fin type is what makes the fish!
Alright, so if I buy 2 VT girls for them(just to start off with), the girls should have nice fins?
But, I don't know about matching up different colors. Like if I wanted to breed Tigger (in my avatar), with something other then a Cambodian, what color would I breed him to? I wanted to do like pink or purple, but I don't know if white and yellow would work too....
The closest to pink would be flesh color. Perhaps white or yellow might work since they all carry NR genes. (not sure - no experience). But if you want a rather blue/purple combo, you can use royal blue or metallic blue.
