Question Picky Fishy??

Hello I am just writing because I recently been having trouble's feeding my betta fish. He used to be very friendly and come right up in the front of the tank when he know's it's feeding time but now he is very skittish and swims away and won't even touch his food. It has been 2 days. I know he's gotta be hungry but he shows no interest. I even tried a different brand but still nothing. Is he just being picky or could there be something wrong?

IME, when a fish that was eating suddenly stops, it is a sign that something is wrong.

First thing to do is a 50% water change - at least.

How big is his tank? How often is it cleaned & how much water do you change out? Filtered or unfiltered? Heated? Live plants?

The answers to those questions will help us help you.

He lives in a 5 gallon all to himself and it's filtered and heated up to 78 degrees. I usually do 50% water change maybe a bit more. I try to clean once a week. No live plants. I hope he's gonna be okay =(

How long have you had him? It sounds like you have had him for a while, but I just want to check.
Have you tried frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp? Those tend to be "betta candy". I recently had a fish that would hardly eat at all, lethargic, but he is a new fish with frozen brine shrimp! Hopefully you can figure out what it is early!

I've had him for about 5-6 months maybe even longer. It's strange all my other betta fish LOVED bloodworms so I was sure that was gonna get him to eat but nope he didn't want those either! idk what could be wrong. He looks healthy and happy. Swims around just as much and still occasionally flare's at me but he just won't eat I can't figure it out. I feel like i've done everything!
