Question Creepy female Platy problem.

So I've had a female Platy with a gravid spot for about 8 months. No joke. Did the babies like, not get born and just died inside her? She has had a gravid spot for a looong time. Doesn't seem to bother her, but am I the only one who thinks it is a little creepy?? Sorry I can't provide a picture but it looks just like a gravid spot above her anus. Dark, black, spot.

For all you know, it could be some dark colouration and not a gravid spot. :)

You know, they might have been born and you missed it, live bearers will often eat there own babies without a second thought, and its really easy to miss the big event...

Agree to the two above comments. My platies have given birth several times and not once have I seen it. I do however notice a few babies each time. But my tank is stuffed with live plants so it is easy for the fry to hide from their cannibalistic parents. So far I have four survivors 3 of them are a couple of months old and halfway to adult size and one is from the most recent batch of fry - still very tiny with no coloration.
