I have only bought in store.. Aquabid has some beauties.. But is it worth the price, shipping, and drive to your nearest transhipper? Which do you prefer?
If I had the options USA does, I would go with AB hands down. We can only get blue/red VT's here at our store. Ben was the first white/purple/red Betta I have ever seen in person.
Dude, it's July and our temp is 52F and that's WARM this week. I am NOT happy about our weather this year!! Usually we're swimming in 80-90F constant weather haha But we have rolling hills on the ocean with wildlife parks and trees for miles (or kilometers)... you have alligators O_o I'll stay here with my VT's!
LOL yeah. We in Florida have flat areas, hot winds, palm trees, lots of beaches and misquitos.. The only bonus is we don't need heaters in the summer or spring for the tanks :p
i've heard few bad things about aquabid. it's a good place to shop, if you want something truly unique. :d i'm technically getting some aquabid gals soon. xD i'm buying them from Chard, who's a user on here. x: i found the one gal thanks to aquabid, and wanted her, or a sister, really bad. x:
I buy from the Petsmart or Walmart in town since there are literally no petstores where I live.
Havasu gets to 120 and above regularly in the summer. 120 is the lower side of the temps. I think it's gotten up to 130 here once or twice. Combine that with no breeze or cloud cover and it just gets worse.

Im tempted by aquabid but the whole shipping thing scares me. Im really not sure how it would work. Luckily the wonderful people here have pointed me to a british site which can also import, so im hoping once I am ready to get my first betta, I will be able to get what I want from them, since all i ever see in my local shops is blue or red VT's.
