lantern jar question

so first attempt at breeding. fish have been conditioned and tank is all set up i put the male in the tank to claim it as his own and put the female in a smaller tank next to the breeding tank so they can see each other he started a bubble nest and everything is good so a few days went by i just added the female into a lantern jar in his tank and im wondering how long does she have to be in the lantern the male has a good sized bubblenest already and is flaring up and body rolling and showing every sign and the female has stripes and is doing "headstands" and everything looks great but i didnt want to just throw her into the breeding tank so i put her in the lantern jar but now im wondering how long does she have to be in there if they both are showing signs?

I would say if there's lots of hiding places for her, I would release the female if they're both showing signs.
