New 3 Gallon Tank/ Comet's New Nest

Just up grated from a 1.8 gal to a 3gal TOM deco tank. Comet loves his new home and I added 2 anubia gold plants and a new cave for him. Have only had the new set up for 3 days and he has already built a new bigger bubble nest. The water color is a bit yellow since I started wild almond leaf extract but he seems to really enjoy it.

As far as the tank goes I love it so far and it's the only deco tank I have found with a lid! Very roomy but there are a few cons:
-Filter cartridges are pricey and I have only found them online
-The tank is acrylic so beware of scratching.
-The light that came with it is more suited for marine coral setups and was way too bright for my taste (felt like I was getting a tan!)

How pretty! The plants will probably appreciate the lights, not that anubias care that much... As for the filter cartridges, is there any way you could just take them out and put in your own stuff in your own bags? I did that with an old Whisper until I upgraded to a Hagen.

Beautiful betta! His tank is nice.Carbon filtration isn't 100% necessary..it helps with smells/chemicals and such...but you can use aquarium sponge to help hold beneficial bacteria.I have had the same filter media pad for 4 months or so...haha
