1st breeding attempt questions

this is my first attempt both fish were conditioned and showed signs i had the female in the lantern but shortly after realized both showed great signs were conditioned well environment is perfect and decided to have a go at it so i released my female and at first everything was calm and now the male is chasing the female a little and she hides then comes back and he chases and repeats or she'll come out and they wont go by each other it has been a little under 3hours and ive been watching them like a hawk and now its at the point where the female is swimming on the side by the bubble nest and the male is swimming in what i call "the forest" its a mixture of live and fake plants then they'll switch without interacting. what should i do? it seems like they really like each other when they were seperated and everything was set up perfectly do i give them more time or pull them out and get another pair or switch just the female or male or what? or could it be because i released the female from the lantern so quickly?

Give them more time, it might take a full day or two for anything to happen, as long as she can hide and is not getting ripped up too badly it should be fine. If it takes more than two or three days I would remove her and switch in a new female or put in a new pair altogether...
