My yarn share post. These are all 100purewool.com yarns.

This is my "ugly" hank of yarn. It was suppose to be a different color and it didn't turn out.

I wouldn't order through them through the website because the shipping is outrageous. I ordered through a co-op. Now, with all the crap my order went through, I will never order from them again.

That's good to know. Another one to avoid is Handpaintedyarn.com. I ordered some lace and it was felted and had to be ripped apart basically.

Yikes, that sucks!
My issue with my co-op was for one, they didn't seem prepared for such a large order and didn't have enough hanks of the weight that everyone wanted.
The other issue was that the colors vary A LOT sometimes ("ugly" was suppose to look a lot different). You really never know what you are going to get. That being said, I was refunded for the mistakes they made. This brought the price of the yarn under $5 a hank each (that's including shipping and such).

Thanks for the heads up on that website too! This is a good idea! If anyone has bad/good experiences with yarn stores, post about it!

KnitPicks is awesome, very fast shipping.

I like Nobleknits (free shipping) and Colorsong yarn (free shipping) for more $$ yarns. Yarn.com is awesome, they have lots of closeouts.
