I'm working on a cowl for my sister now. I'm wondering if it's too "old lady" looking. I may post a WIP pic soon.

Yay! Other knitters!

I knit, too, but I'm not very good at it. In fact, when I knit it's a contact sport. Don't get too close to me otherwise you might get a knitting needle to the eye.

I've made the standard knit-all-rows scarves. Graduated to a little apple hat for my wee babes. Then made some cowls. A patterned dishcloth. Little cork gnomes with knitted sweater/hat. The Stanley Cup. Beer cozies. Cabled owl hot drink cozy.

You know, standard stuff.

I don't really have pics. Most of the stuff I make are gifts.

I haven't been knitting since last Christmas. Kinda got shoved to the side what with the big house move and all the extra yard work that's needed. But my friend is having a baby soon and I'd like to knit something for her new itty bitty. I'll try to post pics as I start to work on it.

I loved that line about knitting being a contact sport with you. Haha, reminds me of my brother when he's eating with chopsticks. He also likes to talk with his hands. Bad combo.

Haha, I think most of us knit standard stuff. I have books of gorgeous patterns that I only dream about so far. If only my ability to keep gauge wasn't so poor.

Silverfang, that dragon is going to be fantastic! It looks like such complicated work.

Cajunamy, what wheel do you use? I think I once looked into a Lendrum portable, wish I hadn't recycled the catalog I saw it in. :/ If you spin floss, post pics, I'd love to see!

Here is the cowl WIP. I'm going to switch between the colors in a sort of pattern.

I have a Schacht Ladybug. I really want a traditional style wheel too though! One wheel for plying (Ladybug) one for spinning singles ... yum!

OOooooh doooood - we must make a betta Ravelry group! I'll look see and maybe start one?

The Schact Ladybugs are so cute! But nothing beats the traditional style, it's so . . . traditional.
