I learned on the 14" too! I like sitting in the corner of the couch to knit and it's impossible with those things!

Haha, yeah. If I'm not poking myself in the eye, I'm poking myself in the gut.

You're brilliant! I tried your casting on suggestion with the circular and then transfering to dpns. It worked really well, thank you!!!!!!

 Aww, no, I just read it in a book somewhere so I can't take credit for it at all. But thanks, I'm so glad it worked for you.

Just bought my first pattern! It was cheap and I'm excited to give it a shot!

Yay! What pattern is it? I'm so glad there are people out there who can design, I sure can't. :)

Casting on on circulars is horrible! On dpn's I just cast them on the same needle and spread them out over 3 or 4.

I use the long tail cast on so casting on anything over 50 stitches is a crap shoot. Once I had to cast on 150 stitches for a baby skirt. I started over three times because one time I didn't have enough tail, the second time I had too much, the third time I tried the knit cast on and hated it.

Angelic: They sound fun! Definitely post pics when you're finished with them.

I do long tail cast on too. I go through the same thing with larger projects!
