Mistress, yeah, I get those too. They're calluses. Annoying but in a way, helpful because then your fingertips don't hurt so much after a lot of knitting.

Rachael, that is so cute! I love that squeaker toy. :)

I treated mine with wart remover but they kept coming back so I finally gave up. You can use lots of lotion and maybe a pumice stone to exfoliate your fingertips, that might help.

thank you sakura .. i'll try those methods =D ..

it's just weird and keeps bugging me cus they are off on the side of the tips so it's like my finger is lopsided and i keep poking at it ..

I know, I totally understand. I thought mine were warts at first (hence the wart remover). It wasn't until I happened to show my fingers to a fellow knitter that she said, "Those are just calluses. You're fine." And if the calluses get really rough, they start to catch on the yarn. :/

they were smooth for a while till i started picking at them .. now they are kinda pokey on the sides and is catching yarn ... maybe i should stop knitting till it heals .. or maybe i can put tape on them?

i don't want to stop knitting .. i'm so excited about this scarf .. and i knit really slow cus i'm a beginner.. so hopefully i can get it done by november ..this is like going to be like the first thing that will probably get finished =D .. my other projects just kinda got left behind and are all sitting in a box somewhere .. =P
