Michaels and Hobby Lobby both have coupons out the wazoo you just need to find them and you get excellent deals.

I like the beret, I made one that I adore awhile back. It's in my ravelry profile if you signed up!

Soft, silky smooth. I'm guessing either Bernat Satin or Caron Simply Soft. Possibly Red Heart Soft. Either way, an acrylic so easy maintenance. It's a great beret.

I love using the 40% off coupons from Jo-Ann's on knitting/crochet books. Michaels, or at least my Michaels, won't use their coupons on books, though. :(

Yeah, I love both those sites for free patterns. And it's usually pretty easy to substitute yarns for their patterns because they mostly basic worsted.
