You just kind of have to get a feel for holding the needles and yarn.

I think I threw away most of the first few things I knitted, they looked so bad. But it's definitely a practice thing. You'll get it, don't give up! If you feel like you're getting frustrated, take a break and try again later.

Sometimes it's a matter of knitting more tightly than you purl or vice versa (I always purl more tightly). If that's the case, using two different sized needles might help.

That's true. I purl more loosely (which is why my ribbing always looks messy). Basically, NFL, it's all about finding your comfort zone with the yarn and everything. You'll get it, don't worry. :)

I got it ! Thank u so much everyone ! I have had a few mistakes but I've figured out how to correct them now ! I now have like 5 or 6 rows now !
