Thank you!
I was surprised at how quickly these came together, I consider myself a sloooow knitter :P

@hedgehog: Yes, the pattern called just for 1 row of reverse slip stitch to finish it off and make it stiffer which is what you see on the first picture I posted.
When I was finishing off the second hat, I decided to go for a second row, then a third and a fourth. It made a nice edge on the hat that I really liked plus it make it edge less floppy.

@NflLover101: I used a pattern, of course! I don't have the creativity or the skill to come up with things, well unless it is to change stitch types to make my work easier. This is the pattern I used: http://hattingmadlycrochet.wordpress...d-brim-sunhat/
It's meant for a toddler but you could work a few more increasing rounds after R6 to make it bigger.
For the flower, I used this one: http://www.patonsyarns.com/pattern.p...3096&cps=21191

I try not to make complicated things because the skill is just not there :D

I finished Mickey's sweater today! I used a larger size than he actually is so it would cover more area. He's missing a lot of hair on his hindquarters. I also made the bellyband to big because someone wouldn't let me measure them but I just kind of sewed up after he modeled it. It's not perfect but this is only the third thing I've ever made and I'm pretty proud of it. I don't know what kind of stitch it is but the sweater has some ribbing since every third stitch was either front post double crochet or back post double crochet. I tried to resize the pictures but couldn't figure it out.

Mickey didn't want to cooperate and was trying to go back to bed.

Lucky doggy, that sweater is great!! My dog freaks out if I try to put anything on her.

I'm working on two pairs of socks and a scarf.

Yay, I can finally post the pics of the sleep sack and matching hat! The board has been weird for me today. Anyway, I finished the hat today. I'll probably start another project tomorrow.

That is too cute! I love the color combination. Teal and brown together is one of my favorites.

Thank you!

So, I've been in panic mode trying to figure out what to knit next (and take to knit group). I'm pretty sure I'm going through knitting withdrawals.
I have projects to do, but they are too complex to do at a distracting knitting group. I think I'm going to tell hubby to decide on a hat style so I can knit the yarn he picked out up! Or at least, give it to me to use for something.
I think I'm going to cast on the hood I'm making for myself soon. I'm nervous making it, but at least I have the knit group to help!

Could anyone explain, in super simple terms, how I should be finishing each row? I'm always ending up with an extra stitch and my project has consistently gotten wider and wider. :(

I'm knitting, btw.
