Talking Should I keep waiting?

I have a cycled and planted tank. I was originally waiting for the plants to be more established. But they are growing, slowly. They are definitely growing, but not as fast as I had hoped (though that will be in my favor in the long run). So should I put my boys in? The wait is killing me, but I also don't want my boys to eat the plants and hinder their development further. Do bettas sometimes become salad shredders?

Usually Bettas will not eat or harm live plants-they will graze/peck at the microorganism that colonize on the plants

If you have a test kit-test the water and correct as needed per results

Add the Bettas...but be sure and properly acclimate them to both temp and chemistry of the water...

Look forward to some pics.....

no they are not salad shredders. mine all have at least one plant in each tank and none of them are shredders. they sleep in the plants butthey do not eat any of them.
