Well, I'm no good at giving advice, but I'll give it a shot:
Fry can live off of infusoria for about their first week of life, its a real snap to make at home and there are lots of sites that explain it...I think there's even a sticky on this site.
After about week two, you will need to feed them Baby brine shrimp, which you will mostly likely have to buy as eggs and hatch yourself(really simple really)
You will need to supplement the Brine shrimp with other live foods such as microworms(which you will have to buy a culture of) I myself, supplement with tiny little misquito larva, these I collect from a tub of standing water by my house(always better to get a clean culture of microworms though, so there is no risk of parasite infection, especially in really young fry)
You can feed them on a diet similar to this until they are about full grown, and then try to switch them to pellets and blood worms, and frozen foods(like adult brine shrimp, ect. )
For the parents, you will want to condition with live foods, pellets, and frozen foods for about two weeks before breeding. Make sure both mum and dad are kept in warm heated tanks with lots of water changes while conditioning, as this along with all the good food will stimulate breeding behavior.
After about two weeks, your female should be well egged up, and your male should be active and well colored up.
When you reach this point, you start following breeding protocol...
