You make a good point about breeding her being the only way to know.

I guess I'll give it a shot - she's been getting the conditioning diet already so I will keep up with that. I'll give her a week or two and see how she's looking.

Luna has improved even further! She's swimming like a champ now and can angle her nose downward! I'm so happyyyy!!!!

I still don't think she's 100% yet but the change is amazing.

Yaaaaay! I'm so glad she's getting better! She's just to cute to have SBD problems, too cute and too feisty. This means it probably isn't genetic either so I bet you can breed her.
