May I present, Mongkut! <3

Been putting off posting pics for awhile now. Hoping I could get my digital camera to cooperate, but alas, all I have are some pixelated cell-phone photos. Nonetheless, I am very pleased to present His Majesty King Mongkut of Siam!

My fishie:

My fishie tank, since he decided he could not abide a 1.8g he now lives in the 16g

The torii gate was there when he moved in. It was intended to be a zen-style home for some goldfish, but that didn't pan out.

His Majesty hates the torii gate. He declared it his mortal enemy.

Here he is inspecting the new hidey-hole- I mean, secluded retreat -that I put together for him tonight. Silly me, the King of Siam doesn't hide, and certainly not in a hole. <3

Nice!

If I may suggest (though I dont know your theme too well, sorry >.<)

Lining the middle-back with plants, that way he'll be encouraged to swim through them, rather than feeling vulnerable in that void of space. :<

Perhaps spread out some of those plants on the left?

Ive also seen some people take different colored gravel and use it under thier bridge/figure like yours like a path XD

Build up the gate a little with extra gravel and then put the path to show it off, hehe XD

Haha, all good points, and all considered- this is not his permanent tank. This is his summer palace, he'll have a 5gal soon, so I can have him at the dorm with me. He was just so miserable in the 1.8 I bought for him that I decided it was better to put him somewhere with more room. He's not shy about the void of space, in fact he totally dominates it. But he goes in there for R&R- the camera doesn't really show it, but there's an open gap behind all those plants. It's like a little bedroom or something.

When I set up my 5g, I'll definitely post pictures! =)

Thank you! ^^ That's my favorite pic too. Isn't he mighty and magnificent? I named him well, I think.
