I love the Bokeh :D You should get one of the fancy apertures that have shapes so it's like little glowy hearts or fish in the background lol

Awesome shot, it looks fantastic!

Thank you so much. There's just SOMETHING I like about this picture... I cant explain it.

My daughter adds the hearts and sparkles on Picnick to the bokeh.

(I would LOVE to get paid for taking pics of bettas...lol Talk about a dream job!)

are you using a macro lends? I really need to get one of those this year lol My school has so many different types of lenses but their canon(i have a Nikon) so even if I wanted to check one out I'd have to check out the whole camera O.o I might, but I've never used a canon so it would be confusing at first lol

My gear consists of : Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF-S 18-135/3.5-5.6 IS lens, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Lens

I have a friend that recently got a Nikon and she wanted me to teach her a thing or two.. I was LOST.
I mean, I'm a creature of habit... I know technical stuff to a point... but mostly, I know MY camera thru trial and error (much error...lol)

To anyone who wants to learn how to use their camera as well as possible.. I suggest the free world of YOUTUBE. Type in your camera make and model... and they'll show you how to use it.
Copperarabian, I would suggest you familiarize yourself with as many different kinds of cameras if you have the ability to do so... that way you can find the camera/system you like best.

I did the whole SONY thing for a few years... and they both tore up on me rather quickly. This canon I have now has served me VERY well.

I was pretty lost at first two XD Luckily in a few months I started school and learned how to use it properly, as well as all the studio equipment that was available after I took the quality of light class. I'll probably check out a canon and play around with it before I leave the tech room so I can ask questions while I'm there :D

Ya know, a local photographer has a pet contest going right now. I have lots of fur and scale pets, but I entered Ben instead. I thought it would be amazing for her to have Betta pictures to add to her site! Pictures like these!! I plan on taking a course in the fall for photography, I want to use my bettas for my projects :) Gorgeous photo... I would use it as my background honestly!
