I just don't know...

Part of me says it could be...another part of me says I don't see anything quite as severe as I would think fish TB would be...

Well...his spine isn't severe enough to be TB...it's usually REALLY apparent.

I found this while searching...though this may not be it.

I agree, it doesn't look deformed enough to be TB and there are usually large sores or ulcers on the fishes entire body not just the light bleeding seen here. In my opinion the link you listed does sound alot more like what we are seeing than fish TB...

Then it also might be Septicemia.. >:P Here's a link on that too.

This fish does need attention though. Septicemia can lead to dropsy! O_O

*phew* im terrified of fish TB.
what leads me to think that its not what you put in the first link is that the person described it as "spreading from his body outward" while my fish only has streaks on the tips. i read somewhere that bloody tips is sometimes just a really bad case of fin rot. ive only had this fish for about two weeks, and ive kept his water very clean, but his water was DISGUSTING in the place where i bought him. could he have brought something back with him from there? and as far as the second link, i dont see any visible blood on his fins. the fin rot makes sense to me, what i dont understand is why he's laying sideways on the bottom of the tank...

hmmmm, at least sepsis would be something that could be treated...poor guy, too bad there aren't any fish vets on here that could just give us a straight answer, like, your fish has this and this and here is what you can do

yeah, try and get (or have your mom get) Myracyn and Myracan II
That will fight off bacterial and 2nd bacterial infection.

It can't hurt...Just make sure to give your mom or who ever will be caring for the fish a good run down of the correct dosage's and needed water changes before you leave....all you can do is try...
