Question Female betta with white stripe

I successfully bred two of my Bettas two days ago. However ever since I put the female back in her tank she has had the white stripe along her body, and now it looks like she is beginning to lose her color. During the breeding process she didn't get any fins nipped at, but she got bit in the side and on her nose. There are gray spots there. She is swimming and eating okay, I'm just concerned about the stripe and her color loss. Should I separate her and put her by herself for a while? The tank is currently 78 degrees and today I fed her some pellets and put in some algae wafers for my Corys. She took one of the wafer pieces and ate it like she always does.

I would put her in a 1g with treated water and 1tsp of aquarium salt until those bites heal (1/2 tsp per gal on day one, water change the next day with 1 tsp of salt on day two to get her used to it). She could be feeling pain from her wounds. I'll let someone else chime in, but that's what I would do! Good luck!

Okay. Thank you. My first thought was maybe pain. I'll separate her first thing tomorrow morning.

Pitluvs gave you some good advice. A little tlc and some nutritious food should help.

Yes food! Why did I forget that! She needs lots of nummy protein rich food, breeding is draining.

The bites have healed, and a lot faster with the salt! I've been treating her with dried blood worms which she simply adores!
