if you are asking about a betta in with angels...No. Angel fish a terrible pickers. they will drive your betta crazy and strip them of fins.

FYI, bettas cannot be kept with Angelfish.

However, angelfish can be housed in 40g+. Some say a 30g is sufficient for one, but the more room the better, these are tall and large fish, they dont stay small forever.

Well, what size tank are we talking here? Are you trying to keep other fish with a betta, or is this for a totally separate tank without a betta?

She really likes angel fish, so i was going to take her to the petstore to look at the fish. Im going to talk to my dad about helping me buy the tank. It will probably be a 10-20 gallon because the ones at the pet store are small. I just don't know what kind of fish would do best with an angel fish. I was thinking guppies, but i did more research and know i don't know what kind of fish.

Well, Angelfish are out of the question unless the tank you get is actually 30+ gallons, so forget about them. Maybe just get guppies, platies, tetras, ect. for a 10-20g tank and stock according to tank size.

I considered Angels.. here's what Angel owners told me.

First... 30g+ for one, 55g would be best for two. The way you get a pair of Angels is to buy 6 juvies, and let them make a pecking order. You will have to rehome Angels one at a time because at the end you will only have two (a pair) that will live together peacefully. Angels do well with Rams, Kirbs, or any peaceful fast fish they cannot fit in their mouths. Guppies are out. Angels are also delicate fish, that require certain types of water (can't remember if it's soft or hard and what pH). Anyways, they were too complicated for us so we are not even thinking about them anymore. The flashier the fish, the more headaches lol

I see. If we get just one and lets say a 35 or a 40 gallon, could we put like a mollie in it?
