Is Proximo sick?

Hi all,

I'm super new to the world of Bettas, so your help is greatly appreciated. I've had Proximo for about a week and a half now. He is a red crowntail male. Today I noticed what I can best descripe as a droplet or little blob of something on the tip of one of his lower fins. I've looked at various photos of things and it doesn't look (to me) like fin rot or ich or anything I've seen.

He seems to be behaving ok...swimming around, flaring, looking at me, blowing bubbles....but I'm worried, any ideas what it might be? I'll try and get a picture later today.

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? Little glob or droplet o something on one fin
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? not changed
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Today
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? No
Does your fish have any history of being ill? New to me,so unsure.
How old is your fish (approximately)? I've had him 1.5 weeks, but I dont know how old he was when i got him.

Is the blob on his fin white, and look like cotton?

Research/google- Lymphocystis and see if any of the pic look like what he has....

Thanks all for your help thusfar! I googled Lymphocystis, and I dont think that's what I'm seeing. I tried to snap some pics, these are the best I could do.

NOTE: He does NOT live in the tiny plastic petstore container featured in this photo. That's where he sits when I am changing water, or in this case trying to get a photo ofhim.

While we're on the subject, he has those white (not cotteny lookign though) dots on the rear part of him. Doing agoogle searh for red crowntails though I see that in quite a few of them, is that normal coloring?
