Live food and fry

I have to say, I have learned one or two things in raising my little guy lucky and I have to say, Though it is possible to raise fry off of hikari first bites and other such artificial foods they grow much faster and are a lot more active when fed on BBS and such. In just these last two weeks since I started feeding him good stuff like BBS and misquito larva my little fry has had a serious growth spurt. I have gone from having to squint at him through a magnifying glass to being able to see him in his tank from across the room...bear in mind he is still only a few cm in length but there is still an obvious difference in growth...I couldn't be more thrilled with his progress, I can even see his little pelvic fins sprouting in. Oh, sooo happy

Long story short, it pays off to buy and raise your own cultures of live foods...definitely worth the effort
