pellet food question

Anyone here feed new life spectrum betta formula pellets?

I am currently feeding the hikari bio gold which they just love but would like to add some variety to the diet along with the frozen foods I feed too. It was suggested that I feed the NLS pellets as they are better than the hikari.

Anyone have a comment on this?

Also are these pellets as small as the hikari biogold?

I have tried the attisons and they do not like them at all.

I feed NLS to ALL my fish - bettas included - and LOVE the stuff!!! :)

For the bettas, though, I don't feed their Betta Formula. I feed the Growth Formula since it has higher protein (50%) and the pellets are MUCH smaller so nobody has any trouble eating them. Heck, I also feed it to my guppy fry & the pellets are so small even a newborn doesn't have any trouble.

Hope that helps! :)

Thanks for those replies. I am going to order some as we don't carry it hear in our stores.

One thing though, when you say it is tiny, is it like small dust particles? Or is it a pellet but very tiny?

A pellet, but very tiny. I believe it is .5mm, if that helps. :)

Thank you for the reply.

I forgot to ask if they float or do they sink?

Since they are so small, they float. I know some posters have had trouble with the Betta Formula pellets sinking too fast, but they are twice as big as the Growth Formula.
