New Betta with spacial issues

Hey guys Sean here again with another question...imagine that.

I just got a new betta from a lfs this afternoon. After floating him for a half hr as recommended I let him out of the bag but he's still swimming in a small area of the large 5 gallon tank he's in...like he thinks he's still in the bag or the small bag I found him in.

I was wondering if there was anything I could do to help him realize the size of the tank he's in or encourage him to explore.

How long has he been in the tank? He might just be stressed out. Give him a day or two and he should become curious on his own.

He's now been in it for 2 days and he's exploring everything.

I guess sometimes the best advice is just to wait it out. Thank You

Great! :) My Fabio was the same way and acted the same even after water 100% water changes. Its a big stressful change to go from a tiny cup to this huge new world. I am glad to hear he adjusted.
