Question Is this normal?

My new little guy was a sad case at Petco... since I brought him home he is really blossoming. My question is... he is getting grey spots on and around his head... is this just his normal coloring changing or is it something else?

The first pic is the day i brought him home... The second pic is him with his new grey spots (on his head) Thanks!

I would guess the grey spots are normal as long as they aren't fuzzy, raised, or otherwise unusual. He's probably coloring up because he's finally in clean water with lots of good care.

That's what I am thinking, too. I wonder what "color" he will turn out to be? Thanks bunches!

You're welcome. And who knows about the color? Maybe the gray means he'll marble up for you.

Are the spots just color or do they seem raised, abnormal?

The best you can probably do is just to keep an eye on it.

Very cute fish. It would be awesome if he decided to be a marble but he's adorable as he is, too.
