Yes, I named my fish Betta.
He is the first Betta, or fish period, that I have ever owned. Once I finish Security Forces training in the USAF, I plan on buying more, but he is all I can take right now.
The picture quality isn't the best, but you can still see him.
What a cutie. Try feeding him a little less for a while. His belly's quite big-- he needs a good poop! lol! :) Fast him for two days to let him clear out and he'll be fine!

Will do! I was concerned about over feeding him. He eats a lot, so I generally give him 4 pellets in the morning and 4 at night. He has eaten 1 today and I gave him some Betta vitamin flakes. Would fasting for the rest of the day be sufficient or is another day need?
I suggest feeding him 4 in a day. 2 in the morning, 2 at night. These little guys will eat themselves to death (yes!), so its best to moderate how much they have.
For today, no more food. None tomorrow, and feed the third day only if his belly has gone down. Feed him 2 on the third day :)
