Bubble Nest

So I just got my first betta a few weeks ago and since then I think that he is doing well. Several days ago I noticed that he was building a bubble nest but since I only have one of those small 1 gallon novelty tanks the nest was destroyed when I changed the water even though I only changed about 75% of it. Again today I noticed that he is starting on another one but since I have the small tank and don't have any other method to remove the water other than to scoop it out I'm going to end up destroying this one too. Is there any harm to removing these nests since I don't plan to breed?
