Well when I picked her it was because I had the notion of breeding her with my Jazz. I got her solely because she was purple. Then I did more research on the breeding, and genetics, etc. and realized that pretty as she is it's unlikely she'll pass the purple. Moreso that she'll pass the red or blue. So oh well. She's a beautiful purple for now, but if she's turning red...well so be it. I love her all the same.

Exactly what i would say, i cant see myself "disowning" a betta because it wasnt the correct color when i bought it.

She looks like my Pari :)

only mine is a bit darker purple/violet blue than yours is . . .

Hold on and Ill post Pix.....

But its a fact that most purples will go red or blue eventually :)

I normally buy a betta in anticipation of the color it will be once its not stressed vs what I see in the store.

I agree completely the change is the best part of having bettas. That is why i love marble bettas!!
