Question How do I lower Nitrates and Nitrites?

I was wondering if a water change would help lower nitrates and nitrites? I tested all of my tanks today and two of them have really high nitrates and nitrites, ammonia is good, so is ph and hardness

Yes, all you need is a water change. .5ppm or less nitrites, aim for under 10-15ppm nitrates.

Whenever I start a new tank I add gravel from a established aquarium, it helps a ton with ammonia and nitrates.

both tanks have been established for a month but someone started a new job and has been lazy with water changes >.< so I wasnt too surprised that they were high I was just wondering if a water change was all that was needed to take care of it
