Question Nothing major but...

So I just did some water testing and in 2 of my tanks the Nitrites and Nitrates are really high like off the chart on my tester, Im using API 5 in 1 and I was curious as to if a water change would help? The ammonia read good for both as well as ph and hardness but its just those to nitrites and nitrates that are the issue. I was going to preform water changes anyway today, one tank is a 10 gal with 5 females in it filtered and heated the other is a 1.5 gal also filtered and heated, with just a male.
