What's wrong with my fish?

I got Gia a few days ago, and she was doing GREAT. But earlier this night I noticed sh was acting..... Odd. All she did was sit on the bottom of the tank. That's it. I QT her, and lowered the water level so she coudl breath. Does anyone know what's wrong with her?

It can be various things. trying filling out the sticky ont eh forum's main topic and see if soemoen can help. It can be anything froma bug to stress so plain laziness right now

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? She has slight bloating
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? Listlessness, not moving much, staying at the bottom of the tank, struggle breathing, and slight floaty butt
When did you start noticing the symptoms? About an 1 hour and a half ago
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? I QT her, and plan on doing daily 100% water changes
Does your fish have any history of being ill? No
How old is your fish (approximately)? I got her about 4 days ago

Has she always been in the .75? If anything she might be cold and thus lethargic. My betas do that some times when they are cold as well when I'm doing complete water changes. Do you ahvea picture at all? Mostly to figure out bloating vs egging.

Yes, always. She's always so active, more active than my other bettas. I don't think that's it........ My camera refuses to work right now.

Yes, good point about her being cold, Bettawolf. Also, has she seen Sparky? If she saw a male, she might have egged up, that could be the cause of her "bloating." They get depressed and mopey after that.

Hmm . Have you recently moved her toa new place? and have you tried putting another betta near her to see if she reacts at all? Bubbles my fm is stuck in a .5 gal untilt he big tak finishes cycling and she'll at times staya t the bottom even when surroudned by bettas. and Jude my hm gets a floating butt depending on the water conditions. Has she pooed at all?

Actually, now that I think about it. She could see Sparky all the time if she wanted to......... I put her QT cup out of sight though, maybe she'll cheer up. I also noticed another thing. Her egg spot looks... Weird. It's stringyish. If that makes sense.

If you don't have a heater, how do you know the water is at 75? do you have a thermometer in there? Cold water is the number one reason for lethargy.. She could be eggy..

Edit: her egg tube might be sticking out.. Sounds eggy..
