Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? He looks a little clampy and sulking
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? He only half flares, he's sitting and cuddling next to James at the bottom. He also crams himself into the back corner by the divider.
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Literally just now
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? Nothing yet
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Nope
How old is your fish (approximately)? Well if my Aquabid guys are considered 3-4 months, Lelouch is MUCH smaller than they are, so maybe 2 months old? :S He's about 1.5ish inches?

He's energetic from time to time, either coming up for breaths, or moving spots, or when he thinks I'm going to feed him

Checked for velvet, no gold dust. He's not rubbing or anything either.

He isnt 2 months... If he was, he'd be a fry! :D Some guys are just small.

The only thing I could think of is something with the cycle. Try QTing him in some fresh water for a day or two, and if he perks up, its the water.

Consider a 20% change to knock down some of the levels a bit.

Add 1tsp/gallon of aq salt if you think that would benefit him.
