Okay, so I got Pierce feeling better, but now Flair isn't feeling the greatest. Neither of them are being very active but Flair has lost color and won't swim around. I'm getting a heater this weekend and no filter.

Well, it could be diet or temperature related. A severe change in temp can cause them a lot of problems. They can even have trouble with their swim bladder following large changes in temperature.

Freeze-dried blood worms are not great for bettas. They should only be given as an occasional treat, not as their staple diet food. Freeze dried foods are not high in nutrients and expand after eaten so they are notorious for causes bloating (constipation) which would subsequently cause swim bladder and mobility issues. You can treat him with 1-2tsp/gal Epsom Salt to help him clear his system. QT him and perform daily 100% water changes. You can premix the Epsom treatment in a gallon jug of dechlorinated water to make water changes easier. Continue treatment for 10 days. Once you get the heater, float his QT in his tank to keep him warm.

You should seriously consider changing him to a good pellet brand like New Life Spectrum or Omega one. That will do wonders for him I promise!

Good luck and keep us posted!
