Oh, that sounds like fun! What is is exactly? Like vet stuff but for horses?
well it includes everything from stable management to genetics to biology to sales and breeding and business etc. its very broad but im gonna specialise in genetics and breeding i wanna do research and stuff too maybe.
I did 2 yrs of college, took 8 years off, then re-admitted last year. Now, I am looking at not going back this fall, primarily because i am getting married next yr and we need time to plan. We both work full time, mis-matched schedules, and I have accumulated this fish obsession which takes over much of my time. I do want to go back to school, though, again. I majored in art my first 2 yrs, then business last semester. But I hated business, so if I go back, I may do art again.
lol, I took a year after high school and then took 9 years off
lol, well at the community college I'm going to there's actually quite a few people returning to school after a long time (there's a few in their 50-60's) so it didn't feel quite as weird as it could have, though most people seem to assume I'm just out of high school anyways, lol
Yeah, you do look pretty young! Its the Asian thing lol!
Its weird to get anyone here above 27 going to college.. people want to get it out of the way and done. But then here colleges can be much cheaper and with a joint family system it is expected that your parents pay for college and then you work and take care of them when they're old.. The thought is changing a bit but not so much :P
I kind of do wish I had just gotten it done straight out of high school, but then again it's taken me a while to figure out what I want to do, so it probably would have either been a waste, or I would be sick of whatever I had ended up doing, lol
I agree, I'm trying to figure out what to do in the future too, I know its art related but I don't know what it is yet.. That's why I want to take a break and figure it out :/
I think the older you get the harder it is to go back. When I was in college, there were two women in several of my psychology classes who were in their 40's. They left their families to get an education and lived together in an apartment on campus.
