Question Changing food

Hey guys

I just picked up my 2nd Betta fish and I noticed in the store they were fed with flake food and I'm currently feeding my original betta pellets and he absolutely lovesthem. Would it be better to buy some flakes for my new betta and work to switching him to pellets or should I just feed them what they are used to? I don't want him to go hungry.

Any advice greatly appreciated
Thanks

Pellets are much better than flake, so definitely try your new boy on the pellet.

Also keep in mind it might take him a few days to realize the pellets are all he is going to get. Bettas can survive at least 2 weeks without food, so don't worry about him going hungry.

A lot of people try to do a varied diet with frozen/freezedried/live food in addition to a good pellet and then fast for one day of the week. This helps prevent bloating.

Good luck!

Thank you!

I tried getting him to eat a pellet today, it took some convincing but he tried it! I was a bit worried he wouldn't eat as he's only half the size of my other betta

Thanks for the advise!
