Maybe Ich?

Neptune has one white spot on his belly in front of his ventral fins. Sorry i can't get a picture. He also flares more. He usually never flares at me, only at the pen i train him with. The moment i noticed little white stuff (most of it was much bigger and longer than an ich parasite should be) in the water. I immediately did a 100% water change. He seems fine. He's isn't rubbing against anything(one of the most prominent ich symptoms). Thanks. I'm worried. Also, he built a bubble nest every week for the the last 3-4 weeks. Seems happy. Also i don't have any live decorations and i never fed Neptune bloodworms. I think i'm getting worked up about nothing.

Too cold. Please try and slowly warm the tank and get a heater for the little fellow. If you have one, put a heating pad on very low with a towel on top and then the tank and monitor the temp. Such low temps are not good for tropical fish.

In a .5-1 gallon, you should do a 100% change every other day for a.5 and a 100% change every two to three in a 1 gallon, minimum., Poor water quality will result in stress and disease.

What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?none (i use bottled water)

Why?

(a little closer to the face, even?)

For now, keep that tank warmer and change the water more frequently.

It looks exactly like that.

Do you know what that is?
I'll try the thing with the heating pad (i'm begging my parents for a mini bow and a heater but they're saying wait for christmas):(.

i'm also trying to get water conditioner.

also i did some research, and it looks like an Ovipositor, though it is rare on males, it looks exactly like one.

Lastly, when he flares, he has a little beard thingy.
