Exclamation Pics of fin rot, tail bites, and other ailments..

I was curious if there was a thread which contained pics of these conditions so that instead of reading abotu symptoms...one could see several examples. I confess I have looked at bettas in the stores and turned them down as i thought something looked....uh....fishy....about their fins. But being new to this, I had no real idea what to look for. For example...is the black or different coloring on the fins natural color or an ailment? if there were a visual aide it would give more of a clue.

Any such thread or would one of you superbetta owners up on the technical stuff be willing to help out a newbie who wants his fish to thrive?

Thanks.

I am no expert but my beta, Ula, has a fin issue and I do believe it is fin biting I am not 100% though. I read up and it said that they do this to boredom or miss placed anger. Fish who so this normally do this throu their life!

If this happens: Get a bigger tank, move the decor once a while, give him/her toys, and make sure the water is VERY CLEAN when his/her tail is hurt. It could get infected.

:D
