Life Span?

I am exprienced with bettas, and this may seem like a stupid question, but I just want a good and final answer. How long do bettas usually live? There is a lot of debate on this question so I just want to get an answer! :) Anyways, thanks!

On average 2-3 years-is the short answer, however, IMO/E-a lot is also based on genetic, nutrition, care/husbandry as fry-adult and health history.....

A well bred properly care for from eggs to adult without health or husbandry issues as fry or adults, proper diet....average 3-5 years...this has been my personal experience...

Often that poorly kept pet shop Betta...that has been kept in poor water with poor nutrition...has a strike against them.... coupled with poor husbandry and diet once it is brought home by a well meaning hobbyist that often kills them with kindness....average 2-3 years with a rare age of 4-5....
